Fuel Equipment Service Level Manager

Job Summary: The Fuel Equipment SLM manages the fuel storage, monitoring, and dispensing equipment and directs the operation of all repair activities relating to Wawa’s fuel equipment system. The position ensures prompt resolution minimalizing down time when petroleum related problems occur. The Fuel Equipment SLM is responsible for working with the Facilities Department to develop and implement process improvements enabling departmental long range plans. The position manages a proactive and well balanced approach of service quality, service delivery and cost management to execute related services

Principal Duties:
Oversee department fuel system projects and corporate system rollouts in an effective and efficient manner, reducing store down time and meeting budget obligations.
Oversee petroleum contractors with respect to new store construction and installations (tank installations, piping inspections, and punch walks) in as well as fuel court, tank field, and UST system repairs.
Manage a network of qualified commercial contractors and vendors to provide high quality demand service and preventative maintenance for all aspects of the fuel operation including underground storage tanks, pumps and piping, CRIND, fuel control systems, vapor recovery systems and tank monitors, and any technical fuel issue as directed by the Fuel Vendor Manager.
Act as liaison with equipment manufactures and regulatory agencies.
Direct the daily performance and efficiency of the fuel equipment/compliance support network. Report to management any issues pertaining to contractor responsiveness, specific technical fuel related store issues and store management questions.
Manage annual budget for fuel equipment/compliance maintenance and repair and complete analyses of budget variances for Fuel M&R budget.
Administer the preventative maintenance program for fuel storage and dispensing equipment. Review records of dispenser calibration and make necessary adjustments.
Compile a monthly and quarterly report outlining fuel equipment performance and vendor effectiveness and provide suggestions for improvement and recommendations for the optimal fuel equipment configuration.
Evaluate the performance of fuel equipment based on customer experience, reliability and cost effectiveness. Provide recommendations for the optimal equipment configuaration.
Perform data analysis on fuel equipment identifying trends in equipment performance and budget adherence in order to provide recommendations for improvement.
Oversee and coordinate fuel equipment repair and replacement during annual compliance testing in conjunction with the Environmental Department.
Administer store opening process for all fuel equipment/compliance and communication related matters for storage, dispensing and tank monitoring equipment.
Serve as a department liaison, develop and perform store-level tests of new services to support/improve key equipment standards and develop improved equipment specifications.
Work cross-functionally with Store Operations and all support departments including Real Estate/Construction & Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, QA, Training and Development, Store Effectiveness, Safety, Fuel Retails & Supply, People Team, Information Technology and Marketing.

Minimum Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or seven (7) years of related work experience preferred
Minimum five (5) years management experience within a related technical discipline specifically related to operation and maintenance of petroleum equipment.
Proven experience with vendor management
Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office
