Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales to lead our sales organization and drive the strategic vision for growth. The SVP of Sales will be responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership, developing and executing sales strategies, driving market share expansion to increase revenue, and fostering strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets, building effective teams, and enhancing overall sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes a complex, multi-line global sales strategy that includes growth in strategic markets.
- Manages a portfolio of prospects. Meets sales and renewal goals for the portfolio.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of the Company’s service offerings.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to develop customer proposals.
- Make sales presentations to prospective strategic clients.
- Regularly updates executive team on progress of sales efforts. Ensures transparency through the utilization and accuracy of the CRM tool.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Increases organization’s profile and expands personal networks by joining industry organizations and by attending and speaking at industry events.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Adhere to all company and customer policies, procedures, quality, safety, and security requirements, and reporting policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior executive position. Proven track record of driving substantial revenue growth and achieving sales targets. Requires a deep understanding of the transportation & logistics industry. Experience in international supply chain and operations in Asia and/or emerging markets is strongly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is desirable.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Demonstrated experience in managing diverse teams and driving performance.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning and execution skills. Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing sales data, market trends, and financial metrics. Ability to use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize sales processes.
- Communication: Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin is a plus but not required.
- Relationships: Excellent partnering and negotiation skills with decision makers at all levels including C-Suite, Vice Presidents, and Directors. Ability to build relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexible and responsive to changing market conditions and business needs.
- Ability to travel (domestically or internationally) as needed.
