Full Job Description
The Project / Process Engineer will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to execute both capital and process improvement projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop project scopes and objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans in conjunction with project sponsors.
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor engineering and maintenance projects as assigned.
Monitor and ensure compliance to applicable codes, practices, QC/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues.
Control project plan by reviewing design and specifications, by planning and scheduling changes, and by recommending actions
Ensure project meets approved budget by monitoring and controlling spending
Perform overall quality control of the work including budget, schedule, plans, and contractor performance by regularly reporting on project status.
Assign responsibilities and serve as mentor and guide for the project team.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times by enforcing procedures, rules and regulations
Drive and assist with set up of new processes and equipment. Monitor control outputs and quality results against expected outcomes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
3-5 years of previous manufacturing experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Access Database
Knowledge and practical application of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
Excellent communication, written, and verbal skills, bilingual (French) desirable
Experience in polymer science and polymer manufacturing
Experience in managing, coordinating, and organizing projects.
Proficiency with CAD desirable
Working knowledge of HACCP and GMP requirements
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Ability to follow written and oral directions
Must be comfortable functioning in a global business with weekly communications to other international locations
