Crowe's Consulting team is currently looking to hire an Internal Audit Contractor (Contract) for a small internal audit team for our Washington, D.C client.

5 plus years experience required including supervisory management of a team.
Certification a plus (CPA/CFE/CIA/CGFM)
Professional knowledge of accounting theory, concepts and practices of accounting and auditing, and the skill and ability to apply this knowledge to very comprehensive complex assignments. Recognized as an expert in developing and applying auditing techniques, methodology, and skill in planning and executing audits of the client's operating activities.
The position also requires high level supervisory and management skills.
Mastery of professional auditing standards established by GAO, IIA, AICPA, OMB, and and the IG community.
Expert knowledge of legislation, regulations, procedures, policies, and guidance applicable to clients and appropriate techniques for applying them to audits of the clients' programs and operations.
Thorough professional knowledge of internal audit practices and standards. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Federal contracting/procurment compliance and review experience a plus
Prior experience with Capital Program and planning a plus
Construction or transit experience preferred.
