About The Job

This job is a member of the Legal Team within the Corporate Affairs Division. Responsible for administrative, clerical and organizational support to attorneys and paralegals in the employment and benefits group of the American Airlines legal department.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:
Coordinates travel arrangements, meetings and appointments
Ensures records are accurately organized and retained, including maintaining records via an electronic document management system
Prepares and tracks expense reports
Creates spreadsheets, ad-hoc reports, and types and revises correspondence and documents
Receives incoming telephone calls and inquiries and route appropriately
Manages incoming and outgoing correspondence
Maintains office supplies inventory, placing orders as necessary
Tracks litigation status
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalency
4 years administrative assistant experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an in-house legal department or private law firm
Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong typing skills
Ability to be self-motivated
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Ability to perform in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to be a team player
