Summary:
Performs the daily, monthly, and seasonal horticulture care tasks at a high level – pristine at The RiverFront, including event set-up/tear down, maintenance and repairs of park landscaping features and grounds:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall maintenance, repairs and upkeep of The RiverFront grounds, plants, trees, hardscapes and grasses with coordination of both in-house staff and contractors.
- Executes plan for controlling invasive species, insects, and plant diseases; care for soils, shrubs, trees, lawns, and gardens; provide for irrigation and drainage; clear brush, leaves and litter; maintain existing landscaped areas.
- Responsible for the general welfare of the plants within the park including identification of potential pest or bacterial issues that may develop.
- Participates in soil cultivation, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, plant bed preparation and planting.
- Assists with event set-up, change over and tear-down activities for all events held within the park property, in coordination with other departments.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Must be 18 years old to run power equipment
- Other duties as assigned.
