The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Civil Rights Office is looking for a Research Analyst 1 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
What you will be doing:
This position reports directly to the Civil Rights Program Manager. This position will plan, research, and collect internal Civil Rights Office program data for Title VI and the ADA. This position also will assist in collecting program data for Contract Compliance, DBE Support Services, Certification, and On-the-Job Training sections. Work that is performed involves gathering, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data; analyze data collection and reporting procedures, evaluate the flow of data, its accuracy and efficiency and make recommendations for improvement and document them; research and prepare written reports on data results and recommendations for program changes based on the data results including appropriate graphs, charts and statistical tables; gather data to aid the Civil Rights Office with determining compliance with applicable federal laws and regulations of State owned Rights-of-Ways; collect and record information received from assessment for use in a GIS database and develop a GIS database with gathered information; map layers for each (asset information) that is collected on, i.e. curb ramps, sidewalks, pedestrian signals, parking lots, intersections, driveways, etc.

PCN 25N23019 Gathers, compiles, and analyzes data and plans research projects related to the data collection and reporting. These duties are vital to the success of the Title VI / ADA Coordinator which is to ensure Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI) compliance and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance by all departmental program areas and sub-recipients on Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) assisted projects, programs and activities funded through the department.

This position is located at 2200 East 42nd Avenue in the Annex Building in Anchorage. The building is located at the intersection of Lake Otis & Tudor. It is a shared office with another member of the Civil Rights Office team. Work is primarily conducted in an office setting at a computer or collaborating with others.??
