Job Description Assistant to Human Resource Administrator/Manager will include:

  • Ensuring compliance of Federal, State and Company regulations as pertains to Human Resource functions
  • Recruiting, screening and interviewing candidates - Scheduling and arranginginterviews with Supervisors
  • Conducting orientation of new Associates
  • Conducting informational meetings on all benefit programs (medical/dental insurance/eye, COBRA, FMLA, short-term disability, long term disability, life insurance, 401(K) etc.)
  • Assisting Safety Mentor with plant safety programs and ensures Associate training is being performed. Maintain Training Database
  • Maintaining OSHA log and other required safety records
  • Preparing performance feedback forms for hourly Associates
  • Striving to improve quality and increase efficiency of the Department
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices and the enforcement of safety standards
  • Data Entry of Labor Weekly Key Figures and preparation of Monthly Accruals for Department
  • Maintaining and filing of required records for all Associates (i.e., I-9 forms, performance feedback forms, disciplinary action, vacation, payroll and timekeeper systems)

Administrative Assistant responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting visitors
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and routing them appropriately
  • Receiving and distributing incoming mail
  • Processing of outgoing FedEx, UPS and DHL mailings
  • Maintaining all office supplies
  • Keying Production Report data, when needed
  • Assist guests and external sales group with travel arrangements and accommodations
  • Preparing, arrangingand cleaning upfor meetings and special events, as required
  • Actively participating in leadership training and activities that promote leadership within the Company
  • Participate in Leadership Growth Opportunities
  • Provide Secretarial support for organization and varies Departments within the Company, as needed
  • Utilizing company vehicle (with valid Driver's License), to run errands for Company needs

Requires multi-tasking abilities and the ability to perform basic math such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, as well as, the ability to speak, read and write coherently. Should possess a high computer aptitude, strong interpersonal skills and business management abilities. Minimum of an Associates Degree or commensurate experience with minimum of 2 years human resources and/or payroll processing experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, and Lotus Notes. Must be able to effectively communicate internally and externally as needed by email. Must possess the ability to navigate in current spreadsheets and ability to create new ones, as needed.

Environment: Requires capability of performing essential job functions in an environment with exposure to carbon dust and fumes. At times, may need quiet and confidential environment for conversations and special meetings.

Aptitude: Ability to deal calmly and rationally with company Associates and visitors, in a busy office with constant interruptions while maintaining utmost confidentiality, when needed. Must possess the ability to maintain multiple projects with above average time management skills. Must possess a very strong planning and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently or as a team player. Possess a high degree of concentration and attention to details at all times. Possess the ability to complete assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.75 to $17.75 /hour
