Position description:
Calico is inviting applications from cellular and molecular biologists who are excited to work within an interdisciplinary team focused on stress signaling pathways and proteostasis that is both tackling basic questions and involved in translational efforts. We are looking for a highly motivated and creative scientist who can develop and implement in vitro and in vivo studies.

Position requirements:
A PhD degree in cell biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, genetics, or molecular biology, plus a completed postdoc or 3+ years of work experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of productivity with impactful scientific publications and a track record of effective collaboration in complex projects.

Experience with molecular genetics, microscopy, protein analysis and mammalian cell culture is required
Experience isolating neurons or glial cells (or other primary cells) and maintenance of primary cultures is desirable
Need to have hands-on coding experience with R, MATLAB, or Python and possess quantitative skills
Analysis of genomics and proteomics data sets is a plus
Must be capable of working independently but also be an effective team player and have excellent communication skills
