POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Coordinator will perform a multitude of functions, including assisting with general office duties, submittal of building permits, procurement and inspection processes for residential solar projects. This position is also responsible for providing assistance with utility interconnections.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

General:

  • Effectively manage general day-to-day office details. Includes, but is not limited to directing and/or responding to phone calls, coordination with vendors, etc.
  • Assist with planning and participating in the permit / inspection process, including processing and submission of applications
  • Assists the Client Services Team with coordinating inspection availability between clients and building jurisdictions, etc. Relays any needed corrections and/or approval information to the appropriate department to ensure project is successfully closed in a timely manner.
  • Tracking results, scheduling inspection requests, hosting onsite inspections and the timely procurement, collection, and issuance of permits
  • Submits, tracks and procures permit plans, applications and 'as-builts' to applicable building departments and Home Owner Associations. May facilitate building department inspections and HOA inspections for solar project installs while providing general access to inspectors.
  • Act as the point of contact for building department jurisdictions, inspectors, clients, field install team, superintendent and client service services scheduling team
  • Manage time accordingly to ensure the administrative duties of the job are monitored and updated regularly and assist in the daily planning of permit submittal & inspection hosting responsibilities with the appropriate team members
  • Prepare and archive incoming/outgoing application documents;
  • Create and update the Project Preliminary Information;
  • Create and maintain updated, accurate, and archived project files via the server project folders and proprietary CRM software tool;
  • Create, process, submit and track required utility interconnections and rebate application documents
  • Direct point of contact for customers as needed
  • Communicate interconnection schedule with utility representatives and construction crews
  • Communicate with job foremen; may visit job sites and create weekly project status reports
  • Other duties as may be applicable and directed by management

Required:

  • 2-3 years experience in operations within a solar/construction industry; AA Degree or higher, or equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience
  • Ability to build rapport and interact effectively with personnel at all levels within the Company and with vendors and business partners outside the Company

  • PC Proficient with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including: Word, Excel, and Outlook, database creation and report generation
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to successfully pass a background investigation, including an acceptable DMV report, and drug screen
  • Valid California Driver’s License and proof of insurance is required
