The Software Testing Engineer is part of the User Experience, Design & Web Development team within Marketing & Communications. This role involves close collaboration with front-end and full-stack engineers, technical project managers, UX designers, digital producers, and product managers to ensure the quality and performance of our digital products, including Adobe Experience Manager Sites (AEM) and Elasticsearch.
The primary responsibilities include coordinating testing efforts, analyzing applications, and ensuring that products and systems meet quality standards and user requirements. Your work will involve designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test strategies in partnership with various stakeholders to ensure our AEM and Elasticsearch solutions are robust and uphold the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive test plans that outline the testing approach, resources, schedule, and deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including digital producers, UX/UI designers and engineers, to understand project requirements and define testing strategies.
- Test Case Design and Execution: Create detailed test cases based on functional and technical specifications to thoroughly evaluate functionality. Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, ensuring that all aspects of the product are thoroughly evaluated.
- Defect Identification and Documentation: Identify, document, and prioritize defects or issues found during testing. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of identified defects.
- Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage. Execute automated test suites as part of the overall testing process.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Communicate testing progress and results. Collaborate with engineers to understand system architecture and technical aspects that may impact testing.
- Performance Testing (when needed): Conduct performance testing to assess the scalability, responsiveness, and stability of software applications under different conditions.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies. Stay current in industry best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance testing capabilities.
- User Experience Testing: Collaborate with end users to plan and execute UA tests. Evaluate software from the end-user perspective, ensuring a positive and seamless user experience.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related area, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of four years of experience testing computer systems an using requirements-based testing.

Demonstrated experience with computer system validation, test automation frameworks and tools, and querying database systems.

Direct experience developing system testing methods, processes, and procedures.
-
Proficient in at least one modern scripting language.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.

Highly developed attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong skills in test case design and execution, with a focus on functional and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with both manual and automated frameworks and tools.

Knowledge of web design, UX/UI and accessibility.

Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Elasticsearch.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $97,552 to $154,148, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
