Role

As the Sr. Supply Chain Manager you will be a key contributor to the rapid growth that lies ahead. You will achieve this by quickly developing relationships across the business both internally and externally to drive scalable savings and operational efficiencies. This role is critical in delivering the optimal customer experience by ensuring we have the right products, in the right places, at the right time. You will have the opportunity to build the supply chain strategy and capabilities of our growth stage start-up business from the foundation of our multi-billion dollar Smart Home business partner. As our business scales into numerous new markets, this individual will help build a team to encompass sourcing, logistics and inventory management. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing and driving the mid and long term supply chain strategy, monitoring key performance indicators, analyze performance data, and coordinate cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.

What excites us about you:
BA/BS degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field (MBA Preferred)
Minimum of 7 years of supply chain, sourcing, inventory management, retail and/or project management experience
You approach your work with a “better mousetrap” mentality
Your experience in tech/telecommunications and/or high growth platform creation

Establishing Systems and Reporting:
Strong proficiency in analysis tools including Microsoft Excel, SQL, and statistics software
Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that ensure ongoing productivity and performance
A power-user of our inventory tracking and management systems and identify functional enhancements that will improve inventory visibility
Build, automate and maintain analytical models that will ensure timely and accurate production schedule to support optimal inventory levels during peak/non-peak
Developing and Executing Sourcing and Supply Chain Strategies:

Strong experience developing and establishing new 3rd party supplier and manufacturer relationships to build for future demand, provide sourcing flexibility, drive down cost and introduce competition
Proven success sourcing and managing multiple product-lines and categories that are medium to high in complexity and spend; utilizing leading sourcing practices
Ability to help define strategy to expand our logistics and distribution networks to enable us to scale into new markets
You have experience setting up a warehouse, liability/risk control practices and scaling a warehouse environment to support local markets
