Times have changed. The landscape and skill set for human resource professionals is constantly evolving as we look into the future to determine innovative ways to recruit and engage staff. Are you evolving? The Prince William Public Library is seeking a innovative, proactive, Human Resources Analyst to help us create our “new normal”, while maintaining an excellent level of internal customer service. The incumbent will assist in providing Human Resources services to over 250 employees and a volunteer staff of over 300. This position is critical in assisting our managers in hiring the best the library field has to offer. In addition, assisting our Training office to develop approachable, adaptive experts. The goal? To strengthen and broaden staff development and competencies.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to management and employees at all levels of the organization.
Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
Assist with continuing to develop effective recruitment strategies.
Respond to escalated human resources and payroll inquires.
Assist the Library Training office to increase the Library Training catalog, including transitioning to include a larger virtual platform and building our Niche Academy platform.
Assist with Library payroll to ensure payroll is processed timely. Handle escalated payroll-related inquiries.
Assist the department manager with agency level benefit administration, as needed.
The successful candidate will possess recruiting experience including some knowledge of performance hiring. Additional preferences include:
Experience coordinating specialized areas such as Training and/or Volunteer programs.
General knowledge of Human Capital Management systems.
Proven track record of successfully working with all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
This is a full-time exempt position. The core hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The position requires traveling between branches and other county buildings; therefore, a DMV check will be conducted.
ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $58,634 - $87,812
