Marketing Data Analyst

The Marketing Data Analyst will be responsible for providing analysis of various marketing efforts. This individual will become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on marketing data and is expected to have experience in the following:

§ Data mining and extracting large sets of data using SQL and advanced excel skills;

§ Measurement and reporting methodologies used to evaluate effectiveness and profitability of marketing initiatives

§ Collaborate with other business and technical team members on project work

§ Provide day-to-day support on Marketing database

§ Continuous improvement to streamline existing manual data processes

§ Partner with web, IT and vendors for data integration to enable in-depth multi-channel analysis

§ Enhance data collection and data append procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

§ Process, cleanse and verify data integrity

§ Create an anomaly detection system and track performance

§ Gather requirements and build out Marketing reports and dashboard

§ Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships

§ Routine processes and tasks related to mail management, compliance procedures, document proofing, managing internal and external communications regarding, email, direct mail and website.

§ Bachelor's degree with 2 years’ experience in data analysis, market research, and data management in required with a major in related discipline (Statistics, Marketing, Mathematics, Economics, etc.).

§ Master’s degree is preferred but not required.

§ Fluent SQL.

§ Understanding of and experience with enterprise data warehouses, business intelligence, and MDM

§ Knowledge and familiarity with Tableau

§ Experience in a fast-paced B2C demanding environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail preferably in the Consumer Lending industry.

§ Strong interpersonal and team player skills with an ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.

§ Comfortable with learning new things or taking on new responsibilities as we expand into new verticals, integrate with new technologies or add new features to the product set.

§ Define project objectives, and manages budgets and work plans

§ Adheres to departmental goals and communicates clearly to all levels

§ Analyzes, synthesizes and communicates performance information and data from complex structures; uses data to develop and adjust campaigns and projects.

§ Uses appropriate and most recent sources of information

§ Conclusions and recommendations are justified by the data

§ Keen understanding and experience in using structured and unstructured data to uncover hidden solutions to business challenges, including program optimization, unrealized revenue opportunities and potential cost savings.

§ Employ sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods to prepare data for use in predictive and prescriptive modeling

§ Thoroughly clean and prune data to discard irrelevant information

§ Explore and examine data from a variety of angles to determine hidden weaknesses, trends and/or opportunities

§ Devise data-driven solutions to the most pressing challenges

§ Invent new algorithms to solve problems and build new tools to automate work
