King County Department of Information Technology (KCIT) is looking a detail focused individual to join our team. This position will work with the Customer Support Services (CSS) Provisioning and Finance teams to coordinate the quoting, budget approval, ordering, and tracking of technology hardware and software purchases.

Utilize requirements and configuration information provided by others to obtain quotes, communicates costs with customers and get budget approval prior to placing orders
Support a bi-monthly inventory needs meeting (Counts, usage, etc.) for hardware and software purchases
Maintain, track, and convey software licensing information as needed, including maintenance renewals for enterprise and individual licensing
Assists customers with requests for hardware/software purchasing
Upload chargebacks for all hardware and software purchases and works with customers to resolve errors
Maintain in-stock hardware and software inventory, filling customer orders, tracking in-stock inventory, and reordering stock items
Assist team with general needs and office issues
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
At least 3 years of general office experience
Strong knowledge of accounting, Mathematics, and analytical skills
Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated ability to focus on the details and to stay organized
Able to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to approach problems logically & rationally
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to effectively follow up on the status of many individual multi-step processes
Skill in prioritizing work load and adapting to changes in work load demand
Demonstrated experience and comfort with the use of Microsoft Word and Outlook
Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
Interest in technology and how the role of technology will shape our tomorrow
Experience in the use of Office 365 products including SharePoint
Basic knowledge of technology terms and use
Direct experience with Continuous Improvement (Lean)
Prior experience in public sector and/or a desire to work in public service

The normal work week for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative work schedules may be considered. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
