Position: Senior Manager - (Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) (BMC4I) Program Lead
Location: Tewksbury, MA
IDS is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as a Patriot BMC4I Program Lead. Primary responsibilities of the Program Lead include the day to day execution of all BMC4I Integrated Product Team (IPT) scope for the Patriot Product Line (PPL) in support of the IAMD Program Office customer. This Program Lead will serve as the primary liaison between the IPT and the Program Management Office(s) (PMOs) and be accountable for successful execution to contract requirements including budget (>$300M), schedule, and technical performance. Challenges with the Program Lead role include ability to support multiple Program Offices, interfacing with US Government customer and transition to production BMC4I Technology Refresh project(s). This position will apply disciplined program management processes and tools to achieve successful execution of program requirements. This position will work closely with the BMC4I Sub-IPTs, Product Line Execution Lead, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering Cross Product Teams (CPTs), IPT Leadership and Program Management team.
As a Manager in the BMC4I Product Line, this candidate will also support new and sustaining business activities to include proposals, AR’s, and strategic planning; with a focus on Product Line optimization, affordability, and continuous production.
This position requires the hired candidate to be able to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance within 12 months of hire date. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Minimum of 12 years of Project lead experience within the defense industry
B.S /B.A. in Engineering, Science or Mathematics or equivalent
Demonstrated knowledge of IPDS
Demonstrated experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking to cost and schedule Demonstrated experience with transition to production, production, and/or sale
Strong experience in Program Management best practices for large complex programs
Strong experience with Risk & Opportunity management
PMX Certification Level 3, or ability to obtain within a year
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance within 12 months of hire date
Demonstrated experience to effectively work with senior levels within U.S. customers, foreign customers, and leadership
Experience with Patriot Product Line (PPL) Team and/or BMC4I product line
Understanding of various contract types including Domestic, DCS, FMS, Cost-Plus, FFP, FPIF, and how to execute within a mixed Product Line
Strategic planning and cross program alignment
Ability to build and work with diverse cross-functional teams
New supplier start up experiences
Ability to develop proposals and additional work scope
Ability to travel domestic and international
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral
