Responsibilities

Position Summary:
Supervises, directs, and plans the day-to-day work schedule of employees and contractors within the Plant Operations and Maintenance department. Supervises the full spectrum of activities for facilities planning, operations, maintenance, construction, contracts, budgeting, and safety.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
Oversees and performs major and minor maintenance repairs and inspections.
Provides support to the director and or manager of facilities in the performance of his job duties.
Ensures employees and contractors are performing their work (e.g., preventative maintenance) in a safe manner and in accordance with proper procedures when working in patient care areas or on patient related equipment or in other non-patient care areas.
Keeps knowledge and ensures compliance on rules, regulations, licensure, accreditation and laws applicable to hospital and department operations including all infection control procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in plant operations/facilities or related field.
