Navigant’s Global Construction Practice works with owners, developers, contractors, providers of capital, and their legal counsel to proactively manage risk on large capital investments through our advisory services and to forensically investigate project impacts for the resolution of claims through our dispute resolution services. Our advisory services include: program management, project financing assistance, project risk management, CPM scheduling, claims management, and business process improvement. Our dispute resolution services include: forensic scheduling, project cost/quantum analyses, and professional liability reviews. Navigant also has many qualified experts who have testified in a variety of dispute arenas, including: litigations, international arbitrations, and government contract disputes.
Design financial and accounting models that quantify business interruption, extra expense, property damage, product recall, and employee fidelity insurance claim losses on the policy holder’s behalf including revenue and expense forecasting
Prepare annual business interruption and property renewal values for companies in various industries
Analyze financial statements and other pertinent documentation
Develop sensitivity analyses related to loss measurements
Reconciliation of claim amounts to accounting systems and to insurers’ calculations
Use Navigant’s proprietary tools in development of claim methodology and work product
Communicate with client, insurance carrier, and carrier representatives
Simultaneously participate on multiple engagements with varying project size and scope
Research and identify potential engagement leads for business development opportunities
Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related business field or Master of Accounting
Graduating in 2019 with BBA or Master of Accounting (or similar)
Computer and data management skills (Excel, Access and Microsoft Word)
Demonstrate a strong attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to quality and working within a team
Effective written and oral communication skills
Willingness to pursue CPA license / complete required credit hours to sit for CPA exam upon graduation desired
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work
Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location
Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
Generally works in an office environment
