The Product Management Advisor leads or coordinates cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully-developed products that are ready for customer use. The Product Management Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities

The Product Management Advisor monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. Investigates facts and develops solutions to problems during the design and planning phases. Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders. May be responsible for feasibility studies, field trials management, identifying product gaps, defining product requirements and engaging with customers to understand market needs and trends. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

In addition to our software development and UX design practices, Humana’s Digital Experience Center now offers Product Management services. We serve as interim product managers for internal clients who are looking to build successful products quickly. We work closely with designers, engineers, and customers to ensure the right product is defined, prioritized, and built.

Required Qualifications

Experience with two of the following: lean startup methodologies, agile development methodologies, working directly with clients
Experience shipping successful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlog
Experience articulating and testing product hypotheses
Demonstrated ability to define and track KPIs and other measurable success criteria
Deep user empathy and strong user experience sensibilities
Experience closely collaborating with engineers and designers as part of small co-located teams
Demonstrated ability to get things done in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt your communication style for the audience
Demonstrated ability to influence decision making in different contexts
Interest in coaching others
Ability to facilitate collaborative decision-making in a workshop context
Ability to quickly understand a specific client domain and identify the trends and opportunities in that space
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with both lean startup methodologies and agile development methodologies
Experience working directly with clients and leading projects
Experience shipping both new products as well as improving upon existing ones
Experience leading or supporting user research
Experience mentoring other PMs a plus
