Lead a senior team of managers/commodity managers to drive supplier strategy toward aggressive cost improvement and performance targets
Influence the organization at executive levels to support the Commodity and/or CM / OEM strategy and make sound decisions on supplier strategy and business development direction
Top leader and escalation path for senior executives within supplier relationships including final authority for large financial decisions and contract approval
Management responsibilities include setting structure for the sourcing organization, identifying appropriate talent, developing job descriptions, objectives, Key Performance Indicators and performance goals.
Partner with Campus Strategic Sourcing, Plant, Quality, AO/AS and Business Development leads to implement consistent global sourcing strategy and processes. Responsibilities include: Supplier and market analysis, Cost modeling, Supplier negotiations, Contract management, Supplier performance management, Supplier Selection, and Commodity Strategy
Support companywide initiatives to develop and implement decision support and data systems to enhance supply chain decision making and performance monitoring.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Logisitics.
8+ years of experience in Operations and/or Quality functions.
Experience developing, negotiating, and implementing commercial contracts to include: supply and quality agreements (QAA).
Experience managing commodities and/or strategic sourcing teams in a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to lead and influence senior leaders
Financial analysis and negotiation skills required.
Strategic analysis skills required.
Strong understanding of procurement strategy and commodity management in a manufacturing environment. Medical Device preferred.
Master’s degree preferred
Experience in medical device or other regulated industry preferred
Supply Chain and/or Medical Device quality certifications or training is desired.
Work From Home: Occasional
Travel Percentage: 30%
