Girls Club Mission

The mission of the Girls Club of Greenfield is to provide and advocate for quality, program-based early education and care for children. We provide a blended program that promotes diversity and integrates children of all backgrounds, cultures and languages—with special sensitivity to at-risk children. We do this through an educational and supportive environment for girls and boys and their families.

The Executive Director will be responsible for all aspects of the operation of the Girls Club including:

  • Promote and advance mission and philosophy of agency
  • Planning and operation of annual budget
  • Acquire and maintain contracts with Dept. of Early Education and Care, Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education
  • Research, write and manage grants
  • Strategic planning and implementation.
  • Develop United Way proposals and presentations
  • Obtain and maintain NAEYC accreditation standards
  • Develop and maintain QRIS standards
  • Develop, perform, collaborate and supervise all organizational operations including regulatory, fiscal, program, personnel, and physical facility at three sites
  • Responsible for Human Resource Development and regulations
  • Develop volunteer board of directors and seek their involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of the organization
  • Develop, coordinate and implement fundraising activities and other events
  • Oversee marketing and other communications efforts
  • Cultivate community relationships and collaborations
  • Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors

Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred

Proven ability with the following:

Experience with Early Childhood Education or related field

Three or more years senior nonprofit management experience

Solid, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting; strong accounting

Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation

Proficient in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to convey a vision of the organization’s strategic future to staff, board, volunteers and donors

Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector

Strong written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
