Job Description:
Responsible to IIS Engineering Vice President for the transformation of Indianapolis into Engineering Center of Excellence, as well as for all day-to-day activities at the site
Oversee creation of new space for agile and devops work on critical Mission Support and Modernization programs and to expand cyber and information assurance efforts
Establishes and maintains on behalf of the Raytheon businesses close working relationships and strategic alliances with premier universities within 250 miles of Indianapolis in order to focus on cultivating Indianapolis as an engineering Center of Excellence
Provide senior executive presence and oversight for all Raytheon personnel and activities within the Indianapolis site, including providing onsite representation, guidance and decisions on Raytheon personnel and operations within broad policies and objectives.
Responsible for coordinating with all of the Raytheon businesses and IIS Mission Areas to drive the strategy and business growth/execution to create integrated cross-business and/or systems-level solutions
Overall accountability for profit and loss of the site, to include driving business performance and growth through a diverse leadership team and workforce
Establishes relationships and recognition with the site’s current and potential customers to promote business growth and development as well as customer satisfaction.
Directs and drives execution and influence local leadership by participating in Indy Site Council
Establish short and long-term strategies that may require development of new processes, standards or practices aligned with the Raytheon to achieve business results
Provide regular briefings to senior Raytheon leadership, the customer and other government entities; including, but not limited to, program management reviews, project status, technical meetings, and education outreach programs
Participate with product line leadership team to develop, establish and achieve organization objectives and goals
Creates a One Company culture that provides for aggressive performance and growth oriented personnel for all Raytheon employees assigned in Indianapolis

Required Skills:
A minimum of 14 years of prior relevant experience leading large technical teams
Ability to lead collaboratively with other managers in a results-oriented environment to develop solutions for complex problems that will gain desired outcomes
Previous leadership position in a fast-paced technical or manufacturing environment that included multiple working organizations; this would include extensive experience building strong cross-functional teams with proven results
Experience building relationships with Functional and Program Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents (or equivalents) to negotiate in difficult situations both internally and externally
Ability to understand the financial impact of decisions on the organization’s budget and the business/program
Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
Must be willing and able to travel (20%)
Raytheon Program Leadership Certification Level 4, or Raytheon Program Leadership Certification Level 5 with desire/willingness to achieve Level 4
Active DOD SECRET Security Clearance

Desired Skills:
Master’s degree or higher preferred

Required Education (including Major):
Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
