The Metropolitan Learning Center seeks one highly qualified Special Education Teacher. Responsibilities: Ideal applicants will have experience teaching students with disabilities, assessing how each child learns best, and then adapt teaching methods to fit unique learning styles in an inclusive setting. Candidates must also have experience consulting with general education teachers, planning and developing creative teaching and learning activities, and administering diagnostic tests, planning and writing evaluation reports and evaluating outcomes of teaching methods as well as participating in student placement team meetings and contributing to the accomplishment of team goals. Candidates must be able to effectively communicate and interact with parents, LEA's and other personnel to ensure the accomplishment of educational goals.
Requires college degree and relevant CT certification in Special Education and prior experience working with diverse population and secondary experience preferred. Experience with PBIS and EIP services strongly preferred
