Advanced Heating and Cooling Utah is seeking a qualified project accountant who is looking for an exciting opportunity to join a busy HVAC construction company. As a project accountant, you will have a unique opportunity to gain exposure across multiple phases of HVAC construction. With a number of projects underway and an extensive backlog, Advanced Heating and Cooling Utah is prepared for continuing growth over the next 5-7 years. Responsibilities
As a Project Accountant for Advanced Heating and Cooling Utah, your responsibilities will include:
· Preparation and execution of conditional/unconditional waivers for Vendors/Suppliers
· Process monthly billing per active project(s)
· Submit monthly billing via General Contractor chosen billing method
· Monitor the recording and reconciliation of AR Payments
· Assist in performing month end close procedures, including AR Reconciliation
· AR Collections
· Contract review for projects: checking for bond, billing & payment information.
· Complete necessary project paperwork and contract requirements.
· Calculate SOV (schedule of value) per budget and project.
· Help with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions and entry.
· Communicate with General Contractors, Vendors/Supplies related to each project
· Track and reconcile project costs, invoices & payments
· Issue and track Purchase Orders
Requirements
As a high-growth and fast paced company, the successful Project Accountant candidate should possess the following skills:
· 2-4 years of construction & development experience preferred, but we will provide sufficient training.
· Excellent written and verbal skills to compose general correspondence
· Self-starter who can see the big picture with an ability to manage multiple self-imposed deadlines
· Detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through and a proven ability to research and solve problems
· Enthusiasm to design and implement new processes and protocols to drive efficiency and scalability of all aspects of the business.
· Natural curiosity to learn and willingness to be a “utility player”
· High Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Experience with Oracle Netsuite accounting system preferred

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
