The Role: The Director, Pre-Sales Technology Solution Engineer leads technical discussions with prospective and existing clients. This role is responsible for understanding business initiatives and mapping those needs to R2i solution capabilities. Successful candidates are comfortable talking to C-level business leaders and handling detailed technical and functional questions. The ideal candidate will effectively collaborate with other teams including Sales, Professional Services, Marketing, Finance and Customer Support, as well as partners. As well, they must be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-growing sales organization.

Who Are You: An accomplished technical sales engineer with domain knowledge in, digital marketing, content/asset management, campaign management and Marketing Cloud software. You have an established track record of success and are passionate about providing clients with well thought out solutions for their digital marketing needs.solving for marketing and business challenges.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with sales leaders to plan and coordinate new client facing activities such as sales calls, onsite meetings or responses to inquiries. Including but not limited to developing effective scoping questions and related documentation
Has an organized and analytical approach with the ability to migrate and eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches
Works with prospects to understand business objectives and technical requirements and defines overall solutions including setting clients’ expectations
Assume ownership of technical solution approach and positioning with alignment from practice leaders
Manages/supports technical sales content for proposals, follow-ups, presentations and SOW development that drive better sales outcomes
Ability to prepare sales presentations that are both compelling and informative
Owns all technical sales handoff document and runs internal “kickoff” to transition the project and scope requirements to the delivery organization
Ability to present R2i solutions and services to prospects on site, remotely and at field events such as conferences and trade shows
Key contributor in the sales process to identify and execute strategic sales strategies and identifies opportunities for process improvements
Supports partner channel and solutions
Assists with and in some cases leads technical sales training meetings to keep the team abreast of the latest technology offerings

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years’ experience in Marketing Technical Solutions presales or consulting
ADOBE MARKETING CLOUD A MUST
Self-motivated with a consistent track record in technical sales and knowledge of marketing technologies
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Creative thinker that challenges the status quo and thinks outside the box
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
A familiarity with solution and value selling approaches and benefits
Technical Project Management and Salesforce experience a plus
Ability/Flexibility to travel up to 40%
