Title: RN Practice Nursing Supervisor, Full-Time, Cancer Center Battle Creek
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; at least two years of clinical experience; Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; oncology-specific credentials/certification.
- Additional: Relevant education or experience may be required depending on responsibilities. Additional clinical or professional credentials or licensure may be needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise clinical staff, including RNs and MAs.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions.
- Act as a resource for clinic providers and manage clinic schedules.
- Oversee daily clinic operations and staff scheduling.
- Represent the clinic in interdepartmental collaborations and participate in multidisciplinary tumor conferences.
- Handle customer service duties, including patient complaints and new patient referrals.
- Oversee prior authorization processes and cross-train to provide supervision in the Infusion Room if needed.
- Manage the Multidisciplinary Clinic and collaborate on departmental policies and procedures.
- Foster team development with the Bronson Management System and set annual team goals.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with tact.
- Engage in policy formulation and procedural development to ensure efficient services.
- Ensure adequate staffing and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care.
- Regularly review care plans and work progress to ensure adherence to standards and effective patient care.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring ethical and equitable care.
- Recruit, select, and coach staff to build high-performing teams.
- Maintain a safe environment in compliance with clinical standards and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
