As a Data Analyst in Asset Protection, you will provide financial accounting and data analytic support for the Asset Protection department to help achieve budget targets and overall P&L management. You will also be responsible for creating, implementing, maintaining, and distributing analytical reporting for all Asset Protection initiatives, including Inventory Adjustments, Cycle Counts, Case Management, Fraud Reduction, POS Exception Reporting, and Merchandise Protection. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead design and development of comprehensive and detailed reporting related to Asset Protection (AP) core functions including shortage reduction and fraud prevention. Provide accurate and timely distribution of reporting to AP team and cross functional partners.
Assist AP Director of Operations in on-going year-round financial forecasting, as well as participate in annual planning and budgeting.
Act as Owner and Administrator of AP Tableau System, Case Management System (APIS), and AP SharePoint site.
Be responsible for managing creation, development, and distribution of AP reporting utilizing Tableau.
Manage all aspects of APIS (case management system) including report creation, data validation, quality control, and training development.
Design and maintain team AP SharePoint site which includes adding/managing/revising content and managing historical AP data.
Work in partnership with AP Technology Sr. Administrator to effectively manage Victra vendor completed work orders and ensure timeliness of approval and payments.
Manage all facets of the AP accounting process including monthly and annual reconciliation and accrual processes.
Identify and understand variances from forecast and budget, provide analytical insight into business risks and opportunities, and suggest solutions for opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, long-range plans and capital projects. Includes working cross-functionally to ensure corporate guidelines are met, reviewing data and analysis for accuracy and ensuring timely delivery.
Prepare capital initiatives and budget presentations including business updates, annual budgets and strategic planning initiatives.
Provide ad-hoc analytical research within the department and to other departments as needed
Complete other tasks and duties as assigned or as business needs dictate.

You should have at least 2 years of demonstrated experience in accounting, data analytics or similar experience. You have a strong ability to influence, hold accountable, and provide objective feedback to others, both cross-functionally and externally. Accordingly, we are looking for you to bring the following:
Experience working with Tableau, MicroStrategy or similar software
Strong interpersonal skills including ability to work in a cross functional environment and communicate with all levels of the organization

Bachelor's degree is preferred
