Position Summary
The Business Cost Analyst is a key role supporting Firestone Fibers and Textiles Sales, Customer Service, Finance and Manufacturing. This position is responsible for product costing from concept to sales.

Manage all aspects of product cost for manufacturing operations to include standard cost, cost estimates, planning, and optimization. Coordinate with the plant engineers to ensure the accuracy of the bill of materials and routings. Assist with new product costs and support new product development. Maintain and update the cost deck for Firestone Fibers and Textiles. Details cost analysis and modeling for current product modifications and new product development. Assist in calculation of 3rd party trade sales prices for the sales department. Continuous analysis and appropriate modification of standard cost system and approach to best suit business and financial requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or technical-related area from accredited university
Cost Accounting or Manufacturing experience.
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency with MS Office applications; Advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of Accounting Systems and accounting flows
Computer systems and software expertise with SAP, JOMAR and related systems
Experience with Lean, six sigma, or similar continuous improvement tools is preferred
