The Testing Site Lead is a temporary, full-time position for approximately 4-6 months (duration may be extended depending upon need). This position is a critical part of the testing site team and is responsible and accountable to the patients. The Site Lead provides oversight to the testing process, ensures patient and staff safety and coordination of all activities. The position also serves as a resource to staff at the site for clinical and administrative questions and may assist with patient education. Communication with external contact involves handling complaints, making adjustments, corrections, etc.
Monitoring PPE Procedures and ensures staff compliance.
Monitoring quality of specimen collection
Coaching to improve PPE and specimen collection
Ensuring alcohol-based hand sanitizer is used after specimen collection and when removing gloves and after placing new gloves
Assist with placement of specimen in second bioharzard bag if needed
Ensure effective communication with administrative team for specimen completion and sign off
Ensuring PPE breaks as well as schedules for lunch (if applicable) are provided.
Ensure patient notifications and follow up is completed for patient testing
Able to sign off PPE
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Baltimore Medical System Core Values, policies/ procedures and applicable civil laws. Is accountable for efficient use of resources and support of the BMS mission.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or compact state or licensed pharmacist.
Required: Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider card) (BLS-HCP) or the American Red Cross (CPR-AED for Healthcare Provider card) by date of hire.
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or School of Pharmacy.
2 years of nursing/pharmacy experience is required.
