The Pump Shop Mechanic will be capable of repairing pumps of various types and sizes. Pump diagnostic skill and troubleshooting ability are a must. This position also includes the fabrication of new pump skid packages, thereby requiring solid experience in welding and some machining. The individual must have experience in reading and understanding blueprints, parts lists and drawings, and manufacturer’s installation and maintenance manuals. Completing the proper paperwork for each order is important. Good phone and email skills are required to communicate with our customers and vendors. Electrical knowledge is not required but would be a plus.
The ideal candidate would possess the skills listed above and significant experience in their performance. This person will be self-motivated and demonstrate a can-do attitude. Working well with fellow team members is critical and essential. Attention to detail in both written and verbal communication is a must. The candidate must be teachable and have a willingness to learn. We expect a high standard of personal integrity with the qualities of trustworthiness and dependability greatly valued. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
