Six (6) months recent hospital or long term care facility experience as CNA
High school education
Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program
Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Must be able to operate IVAC thermometer, vital check machine, blood pressure cuff and have knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Six (6) months recent long term care facility experience as CNA required. . Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. Ability to utilize and learn new computer programs for documentation. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Operate IVAC thermometer, vital sign check machine, blood pressure cuff. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures. Ability to perform care functions that may include, but not necessarily be limited to: 1) Ambulation 2) Eating assistance 3) ADLs 4) ROM (AROM & PROM) 5) Bowel & Bladder Training 6) Splint / Brace / Prosthesis placement / care Ability to educate family members regarding appropriiate activities listed above: ADLs, Eating, Ambulation, ROM etc. as indicated by ability of resident and willingness of family. Current CA Nurse Assistant Certificate (CNA) and BLS CPR certification required.
