Under general supervision, coordinates, and provides technical, analytical and operational support for management information systems, application programs and databases; develops and provides training materials for operators and systems users; creates user manuals; installation, maintenance, and tuning of database software and applications; analyses and documents database requirements; generates end-user ad hoc and standard reports; conducts feasibility studies on proposed systems and system enhancements; maps out database design requirements; coordinates complex database and application software activities with outside agencies; maintains IT controls and database integrity. Refines records management systems for the Fire Rescue Department with goal of automating records process to take advantage of available technology. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Information Systems Director.
Minimum Training and Experience
Must obtain FDLE CJIS Certification within six (6) months of employment.
Must be able to attend meetings at locations other than primary work location.
May be required to work extended hours or alternate hours as necessary for the efficient operation of the department. Position may be designated as Mission Critical by Department Director.
May be required to support emergency operations at the discretion of the IT Director.
Is able to exercise confidentiality and integrity to deal with unrestricted access to data for the entire Town.
