Full Job Description
Prepares and administers transactional processes related to accounting sub-ledgers and ancillary transactional accounting systems to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, payroll, fixed assets, vendor invoicing, preparing reports, auditing various expense-related documents, maintaining tax-related material, and other related duties.
Perform proper entry of transactional processes utilizing office software and accounting software programs.
Adhere to company standards and policies to secure proper approvals for accounting documents and to ensure documents are properly approved for payment or distribution to vendors, clients, tax entities, or third party sources.
Process credit applications, perform proper coding, and interface with vendors and clients to secure daily transactional and approval credit processes.
Notify managers when budgeted expenditure levels have been exceeded.
Ensuring proper recordkeeping and filing of accounting documents and reports.
Prepare analysis of transactional accounts, as required.
Assist in timely monthly, quarterly, and year end closing and audit processes.
Assist company staff with information exchange to facilitate proper coding, reporting, approval, payment, and invoicing processes relating to business processes.
Maintains tax-related documentation including tax tables and tax forms.
Maintain a positive presence in interfacing with internal staff and external clients.
Electronic and paper filing.
Performs other duties as assigned.
A minimum of one year related experience in transactional accounting processes, related accounting software systems and office software products.
Associates degree (A.A.) in accounting or a related field. High school diploma with equivalent experience of a minimum of three years may be substituted for education.
Position: Full-Time Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Hourly Rate: $15-20 per hour depending on experience
