The Project Manager’s primary objective is to facilitate and complete the project deliverables by coordinating with project members and partners both internal and external. The Project Manager plays a key role in project success by obtaining and documenting needed tasks for successful project completion, identifying risks, and escalating roadblocks encountered, and communicating statuses throughout the project. Working with a Sr. Project Manager, or Director, the project manager develops project approach (key stakeholders, need for sub-teams, phases, etc.) The Project Manager plays an active role in projects by participating in continuous improvement events (25% travel) and supporting the facilitation of event deliverables.
Responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives in support of the business units within Accredo. The continuous improvement support team, provides coordination and data driven analysis to improve quality, reduce expense, and improve processes to provide efficient workflow within the organization to better serve patients, clients and employees.
Manages multiple projects comprised of one to four cross functional teams
Builds a project charter - confirming key stakeholders, objectives, risks, etc. with Sr. PMs and directors prior to Sponsor approval
Develops project approach and task plans (key stakeholders, need for sub-teams, phases, etc.) with Sr. Project Manager / Director input
Plans and executes project kickoff with input from Sr. PM / Director resources
Develops Risk management plan which includes Risk identification, Risk Mitigation planning, execution and tracking – escalates with the support of Sr. project managers / Directors
Supports LSS by applying lean tools during facilitation events where needed
Supports projects that define and implement process improvements across an entire department or business functions
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5-8 years relevant project management experience – Master’s degree 3-5 years’ experience
Proficient to Intermediate MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills required
Proficiency with project management software to effectively outline and track tasks that drive to milestone completion.
Strong analytical, planning, problem identification and resolution skills required
Excellent communication skills with internal and external partners in various functional areas and at all levels of management.
Proven ability to plan for and integrate multiple tasks concurrently as well as work independently.
Ability to identify and engage cross-functional teams in support of project completion, while obtaining needed buy-in from stakeholders.
Understanding of Lean principals and agile methodology (Preferred)
