POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the BOS Security Performance Manager, incumbent is responsible for patrolling various buildings for DGS clients and ensure proper authorization/access into buildings.

Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $18.50

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS
Performs administrative, secretarial and clerical duties including normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files, processing applications, new-hire paperwork, and tracking applicant flow information.

Maintains personnel records of active and terminated employees according to Company policy.

Enters new hire information, personnel changes, and payroll information into HRIS system.

Answers questions concerning benefits, schedules, uniforms, DGS policy or employee concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Maintains strict confidentiality of all security personnel records and employee information.

Coordinates badging application and recordkeeping for SIDA access and employee uniform program.

Maintains schedules, compiles reports, and prepares billing information.

Maintains OSHA records and assists in administering on-the-job injury reporting.

Ensures required posting and corporate information are updated and displayed as required.

Processes internal/external communications as required.

Employee may be required to assist with some or all of the essential functions listed in order to support operations and/or training duties.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required. One (1) to three (3) years administrative/secretarial experience required.

Must possess advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Prefer knowledge of corporate business processes and procedures such as expense reporting, scheduling and purchasing.

Communications skills necessary to screen and route calls and make inquiries regarding business processes and schedules.

Interpersonal skills necessary to greet visitors, customers, and business partners or make inquiries and clarify information.

Attention to detail necessary to ensure that information is accurate and correct, documents are grammatically correct, and work is completed in a timely manner.

Organizational skills necessary to prioritize and schedule work activities of self and others and balance multiple assignments with limited direction.

Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.

MENTAL ABILITIES: Must be able to follow directions, read and interpret documents and remain alert at all times to identify potential areas of danger.

Must be 18 years of age; eligible to work in US; able to pass pre-employment drug screen, FBI criminal and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Sense of Sound/Hearing – Must be able to communicate by radio, phone, and other devices.
The incumbent is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in crowded public areas of the locations under tight time constraints to direct customer contact. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud. The pace of the work varies depending on the assignment, season, location, and weather. Employees may be stationed on the outside or inside of the assigned building and may be exposed to inclement weather such as rain, sleet, snow, ice and extreme heat and cold.
