Overview:
We seek a skilled and experienced Glass installer/glazier with at least 2 years experience to join our team and we are willing to train the right candidate. As part of our team your attention to detail will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of windows, doors, glass walls, and other glass fixtures.
We prefer proven work experience as a Glazier, with a demonstrated track record of successful glass installations and replacements of showers, windows, and lanai enclosures including:
- Proficiency in cutting, shaping, and handling various types of glass, including float, laminated, tempered, and safety glass.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Familiarity with different glazing techniques and materials used in window and door systems.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices while working with glass and operating related equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision to deliver high-quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving and math skills to address challenges in glass installations effectively.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights, lift heavy glass panels, and stand for extended periods.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Job Description includes:
- Glass Installation: Measure, cut, and install glass in windows, doors, skylights, glass walls, showers, lanai enclosures, and other architectural elements, ensuring precision and accuracy in all installations.
- Glass Replacement and Repair: Replace cracked, broken, or damaged glass in existing structures, ensuring seamless integration with the surrounding materials.
- Sealing and Weatherproofing: Apply sealants, putty, or caulk to ensure proper weatherproofing and to prevent air or water leaks in glass installations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while handling glass and operating equipment, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Glass Fabrication: Fabricate glass components, such as mirrors, tabletops, and glass panels, as per specific project requirements.
- Reading Blueprints and Specifications: Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to understand project requirements and ensure accurate glass installations.
- Collaborative Communication: Coordinate and communicate effectively with other team members, project managers, and clients to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean glass cutting and installation equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Glass Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in glass technology, products, and installation techniques.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on completed installations to meet industry standards and client expectations.
