Job Title: Construction Estimator
Location: Manhattan, NY
Salary: $100,000 - $175,000
We are a leading construction firm specializing in high-quality commercial interior build-outs and are seeking a talented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotes and pricing.
- Conduct site visits to gather pertinent information and verify project scope.
- Prepare detailed and itemized cost breakdowns for various stages of construction.
- Review and evaluate cost estimates from subcontractors and vendors.
- Monitor and track project costs to ensure budgets are adhered to and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare bid proposals and participate in bid negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial interior build-outs.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost factors.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
