Payroll Specialist

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily payroll department operations
  • Manage the time table for all payrolls and ensure all parties meet deadlines
  • Manage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Respond to / assist HR with payroll errors resulting from Workday and other causes
  • Creation of manual replacement checks and associated entries in GlobalView
  • Manage ADP GlobalView CRM ticket process
  • Manage Garnishment Services relationsip with ADP
  • Manage/monitor the creation of all local tax set up
  • Report and request payment of payroll deductions for union dues, United Way and PAC
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting as necessary (e.g. W-2, W-2c)
  • Creation of recurring and ad hoc GlobalView reports for Treasury, Tax and HR staffs
  • Manage United Way payroll contributions with United Way’s eWay program

Major Job Qualifications/Specific Skills:
Required:

  • 4-6 years experience processing multi-state payroll
  • Strong knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Working knowledge of ADP GlobalView (SAP) and ADP e-Time
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • Ability to work in a fast paced/dynamic environment

Preferred:

  • CPP preferred but not required
