Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Program Cost Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in McLean, VA.
Where will you find innovation and technology? Right here at Northrop Grumman Corporation. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's US CERT Program. The role involves coordination with internal and external parties, including program management, the government customer, technical personnel, and other business management functions.
Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and perform financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
Prepare program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled to include subcontractor funding and intercompany work orders
Perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
Coordinate travel expense reports for technical personnel
Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government
Develop and maintain the program cost baseline
Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
Review invoices and track payments
Perform various financial analytics in support of proposal activities
Ability to consolidate and coordinate deliverables from multiple PCAs with multiple task orders spanning the entire program to drive accuracy and organizational efficiency
Assess risk and opportunities
Support contract estimates at completion (EAC)
Support the preparation and coordination of monthly financial forecasting and reporting of Sales, Margin, Awards, Acquisitions, Cash, and Payables (Outlook/IF)
Provide variance analysis on program financial metrics
Prepare financial inputs to internal reports and presentations (IPRS, PMRs, etc)
Ability to multi-task and work ad hoc requests on short notice
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with 6 years of related experience - OR - a Master's degree as described with 4 years of related experience.
All work will be performed on site at office in McLean, Virginia
Experience with MS Office Suite, specifically strong capabilities with Excel
The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Financial analysis and/or planning background
Experience with SAP accounting system and Business Warehouse (BW)
Current active Secret level security clearance or higher
