Purpose:
The Application Support Specialist will provide support to all parts of Language Services to get technology and processes deployed smoothly, efficiently and consistently.

Main responsibilities:
Guaranteeing smooth and efficient production processes by integrating and maintaining CAT tools and/or other LS production applications (such as proprietary workflow systems and customer-facing portal solutions) in the LS production workflow.
Improving continuously quality by establishing and guaranteeing quality standards regarding the usage of CAT Tools / LS applications in use.
Increasing process and system efficiency including user-friendliness through assisting in the development of new tools / functionalities.
Creating synergies for increasing efficiency and quality by using technologies and transferring experiences between different projects.
Enhancing LS staff competence level regarding the usage of CAT tools / LS applications in use through training.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in IT, Software Development, Localization Management, Translation Services, Computer Linguistics or related vocational training, is required.
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Market overview regarding CAT/localization tools in general is required.
Must have an understanding LS production processes.
Must have knowledge of networking and computing principles.
Experience with the management of ticket systems/bug tracking systems (JIRA, OTRS, LAN Desk or similar).
Different document types (XML, HTML, Office file types, etc).
