ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Flexographic Printing Production Helper is responsible for assisting in routine aspects of press operation by performing manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance and operation of Menasha's flexo presses. The Flexographic Helper assists Operations in achieving quality and throughput goals and further assists press operators in maximizing press throughput. The Flexographic Printing Production Helper will ensure that presses are supplied properly prior to print production, to ensure press inefficiencies are met.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Demonstrate commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, stock specifications, colors, special printing instructions, and any special customer requirements
Keep new rags stocked and empty dirty ones
Fill containers of cleaning solvents, water, fountain solution and ink as needed
Assist the Operator with mounting plates
Continuously check for quality defects on product running off conveyor belt
Communicate with the Operator when problems come up on the delivery end
Assist with decisions regarding the quality of finished product
Complete required quality inspections and paperwork
Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
Palletize stacks of finished product on skid
Remove product skids and change waste Gaylord bins
Must be trained and qualified to operate baler
Must be trained and qualified to operate the Roll Handling equipment
Must be trained and qualified to operate the skid turner
Run presses through breaks when needed
Contribute to overtime needs to meet customer demands
Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding work area
Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
Actively participates in Lean manufacturing initiatives
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Ability to stand 8-12 hours
Must be able to use hands for grasping product, pushing & pulling skids of product using manual pallet jack, reaching above shoulder height at times to remove items from shelving units
Must be able to lift a maximum of 85 lbs.
Frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
