As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and experienced kitchen manager to join our team and help drive excellence in kitchen operations.
Job Overview:
As Kitchen Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of one of our kitchens, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations. This role requires a strong leader who is passionate about culinary quality and team development. You will work closely with the restaurant’s management team to maintain high standards in food preparation, kitchen safety, and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand and forecasts.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency and effective teamwork during service.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking to maintain our high standards of quality and consistency.
- Recruit, train, and support kitchen employees across different stations to ensure versatility and high performance.
- Conduct weekly inventory assessments and monitor stock levels to ensure cost control.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to adjust menu items, implement pricing changes, and introduce new dishes.
- Schedule and organize kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure kitchen areas are kept clean, organized, and safe for all team members.
- Prepare and review weekly and monthly cost reports, working to maintain optimal food cost percentages.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a kitchen management or similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting, such as the busy River Walk location.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage both people and processes.
- Experience with Sysco or similar food ordering systems.
- Competence in using Microsoft Excel and Word to generate and manage documents.
- Strong email management skills, ensuring timely and professional responses to team communication and administrative tasks.
