The Pre Admission Testing Nurse is responsible for the analysis and assessment of the preoperative clinical data related to the patient's anesthesia risk and appropriateness of ASC site of service, under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and Medical Director. This position is located in Owings Mills, MD and the work hours are Monday- Friday. Excellent working environment, great staff, and competitive salary, Plus, you DO NOT have to work nights, weekends, and holidays or take call.
Coordinates and directs all preoperative paperwork and medical records for surgical patients.
Assists surgical posters with directing and helping patients.
Assess patient's preadmission test results and report any concerns to the physician and anesthesia provider.
Provides patient education to ensure each patient is given full details of the procedure to be performed.
Prepares patient for surgery by reviewing preop instructions.
Performs other clinical and office duties as assigned by manager.

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or lesser degree and commensurate experience.
Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a general operating room, preferably with experience in an Ambulatory Care setting and/or Pre Admission Testing.
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maryland.
Current ACLS and BLS required.
Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient computer software and database skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
