Expedia Group is seeking an International Tax Senior Analyst for our dynamic and growing tax team based in our Seattle, WA offices. You will be an integral member of Expedia Group's International Tax Team and will help support Expedia Group's international business operations.
In this role you will work closely with Expedia’s International Tax team and other members of the Tax and Finance teams (both domestic and international) to execute the international tax compliance functions. The successful senior tax analyst will be able to identify and research various tax issues and clearly articulate his/her findings to management through written communication (i.e. memorandums) or verbal presentations.
What You’ll Do:
Coordination of outsourced foreign corporate income tax compliance
Liaise closely with Finance related to matters impacting foreign corporate income tax, including review of financial statements and disclosures
Preparation of foreign year-end tax provision in coordination with the global provision team including analysis of book/tax differences and return to provision analysis
Assist in responding to foreign tax inquiries and audits
Assist with tax aspects of business projects and other tax research, as assigned
Who You Are:
Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting required. Masters in Taxation and CPA preferred
At least 3 years of international tax consulting/compliance experience with a public accounting firm or equivalent experience
Experience with corporate income tax return preparation and review
Experience with ASC 740 reporting. Experience with the impact of international transactions on the company’s ASC 740 reporting is preferred
Detailed understanding of international reporting/compliance issues and experience in preparing Forms 5471 and other disclosure of international transactions is a plus
Strong foundation of accounting skills and concepts
Strong organization, analytical, and inter-personal skills are required
Demonstrate the ability to use tax knowledge and previous experience to add value and assist in meeting the department’s objectives while working in a fast-paced, team oriented, rapidly changing, and high-growth organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
