The Commons, located in Minneapolis, is the headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, the site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.


Control software release activities, including the promotion of releases to the nonPRD and Production environments
Ensure proper releases of software are successfully loaded and are operational
Work with software vendor, technical or functional resources to maintain appropriate environments with
with patches and fixes as appropriate
Configure application or clients to meet the business requirements and technical functional specifications, paying attention to specific needs of device types and database environment needs and ensure packagers have clear direction of what and how to implement the client files.
Proactively manage system performance of Epic
Assess workflows triggering a high percentage of performance exceptions, determine if the exceptions are workstation model specific, help identify PC replacement prioritization or memory increase opportunities
Assess general system health, detect performance bottlenecks, ensure audits of configuration settings are appropriate
Resolve incidents related to system performance
Develop collaborative partnerships across departments, business units and Allina to achieve results and improve performance
Under limited supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems
Install, configure, test, support and monitor information systems to meet requirements and technical specifications
Provide information system support, troubleshooting and coordination
Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and their integrations to process data
Challenges others’ thinking to create effective and efficient work processes
Adapts quickly to changing business and technology needs


BS/BA degree or equivalent

preferred in computer

science or related business



Understands release and deployment methodology
Extensive, integrated knowledge of Epic software
Excellent customer service/communication skills – written/verbal
Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical resources
Strong leadership judgment and business/technical acumen
Able to write effective reports
Ability to motivate others to learn
Seeks out challenging assignments
Ability to accept responsibility to develop solutions from concept to completion
Champions new and innovative ideas for operational/system barriers or opportunities

Work Schedule

Normal work schedule is Monday - Friday
Weekend and night work required for upgrades and system maintenance
