What You'll Do

  • Work with the Director of Data Management to implement Democracy Prep's vision for incorporating technology across its schools
  • Collaborate with Curriculum team to integrate technology into academic vision, especially as it pertains to computer-based assessments
  • Oversee implementation of Clever, a platform for account provisioning based on student information
  • Manage purchase orders and oversee contract renewal with vendors
  • Deliver professional development (online and in-person) to teachers and operations staff on instructional technologies
  • Provide ongoing support to teachers, school-based technology associates, and school leaders, responding in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain and improve systems that enable seamless use of technology by students, teachers, and leaders
  • Keep a pulse on the ed tech market for new tools that fit into DP's model, coordinating and negotiating with ed tech vendors
  • Implement and evaluate small pilots at individual school sites to innovate new solutions
  • Support an Innovative Teacher Professional Learning Community made up of tech-forward teachers at DP schools in pushing boundaries and providing professional development
  • Occasional travel to our regions in Louisiana, Washington DC, Nevada, New Jersey, and Texas (< 10%)

Salary range is $60,000 - $65,000 commensurate with your experience. Democracy Prep employees are provided with a benefits package that includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, 403B matching, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, a smartphone, and a laptop.
