Arizona Eye Specialists is a busy, valley-wide, multi clinic, Ophthalmology practice, proudly serving the valley since 1953! We are currently looking for a candidate who is not only experienced, team-oriented and has excellent work ethics, but one who will well represent our Medical Appointment Scheduling Team. Answering incoming phone calls and scheduling patient appointments for multiple locations is the basis of our Call Center. Previous referral experience, and/or bilingual (Spanish) is a definite plus!
Must be self-motivated, display consistency, of high integrity and be able to contribute to our patient-centered, compassionate culture. The position requires F/T hours working Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm and is located at the corporate office in Central Phoenix.
Responsibilities:
- Answering incoming patient phone calls.
- Scheduling patient appointments for multiple locations.
- Triage patient calls efficiently and effectively.
- Effectively answer patient questions with confidence.
- Obtain and enter new patient demographics into EHR Software.
- Assist with incoming patient referrals.
- Providing excellent patient service.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One-Two years minimum experience in a medical office (strongly preferred).
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills.
- Empathetic with patients’ needs and concerns.
- Highly motivated and organized with the ability to excel under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work as a Team member is essential.
- Experience with EHR medical software (preferred).
- Accurate and proficient typing skills.
- Knowledge of insurance plans, patient registration, and referral process preferred.
- Previous Ophthalmology experience a definite plus!

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
