POSITION TITLE: Senior Voice Engineer (US Remote; Full Time; Multiple Openings)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for providing architectural solutions that assist in growth as well as solving technical problems related to VoIP applications which interact with RingCentral's unified communications platform.
JOB DUTIES: Performing design and architecture modeling for the RingCentral global carrier network; Providing top tier support for Operations teams for maintaining multi-region fault tolerant RingCentral's network; Evaluating third party products and tools relating to VoIP, Voice and Video to develop solutions for RingCentral products' features; Performing testing and validation within various labs of new VoIP applications and call flows to perform troubleshooting and diagnosing telephony problems; Creating documentation and providing training within standard operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades of VoIP infrastructure; Installing relevant Ribbon/Sonus VoIP hardware and equipment as needed to support media quality and system performance; Working in an organized manner and manage/present your own projects; Participating in rotating on-call schedule.
REQUIRED SKILLS/TOOLS: Experience with SIP, TCP/IP, VoIP, Linux, Transport layer, VMware, Media gateways, Session Border Controllers, SS7, Troubleshooting, Sonus, Ribbon, Network Architecture, CDR analysis, Wireshark is required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE /
QUALIFICATIONS: U.S. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or foreign equivalent, plus two (2) years of related experience, or U.S. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience is required. Within the foregoing parameters, any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
