Are you a patient focused, Intensive Care RN that would enjoy working close to home, in a Magnet recognized, community hospital? We would love to speak with you about joining Lowell General's Intensive Care Unit, which is designed for the latest in critical care services to ensure critically ill patients receive the highest available level of care and are monitored around the clock.
In this 11 bed ICU, you will work closely with a team of specially educated, experienced physicians and nurses to care for critical patients with a focus on trauma, cardiac, pulmonary,unstable post op/post-partum. In conjunction with the Tufts Medical Center Intensivist Team, our ICU provides high acuity care in a community setting using state of the art equipment. Populations served include from young adult to geriatric patients from Lowell and surrounding communities.
The ICU's unique design enables the nursing and physician staff to have a full view of virtually all patients at all times. Each of the single rooms has state-of-the-art technology that enables staff to monitor patients' vital signs continually. For those visiting loved ones in the ICU, the wide, sunlit gallery surrounding the ICU provides a comfortable, attractive area to gather and provide emotional and spiritual support for the patient and each other. Visiting family members are welcome at any time.
The ICU main campus has achieved Gold Status for the BEACON AWARD for EXCELLENCE from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) which represents the highest distinction in excellence for patient care and the highest standards of professional practice.
Critical care experience required
Able to read and interpret Tele strips independently
Must have excellent time management skills
RN candidates must be able to use electronic based charting systems. Cerner experience is preferred.
Valid BLS and ACLS required, specialized certifications preferred
