Management and Leadership
Assist with the management and administration of operations to produce successful, professional and efficient experience for the members, guest and employee, which includes adult, youth and children ski and ride programs.
Support and conduct the hiring, training, development of all staff members.
Assist direct reports in helping to attain annual goals and objectives that support those of Granby Ranch and the vision of the department.
Provide formal and informal feedback to all staff members, conduct one-on-ones when there is necessary follow up on performance issues and reward exceptional performance.
Attend and actively participate in all operational meetings and required company functions.
Communicate information to all staff to ensure the proper distribution of resort activities, events and changes.
Assist the Administrative position to ensure the accurate accounting of revenues, expenses and labor expenses are recorded properly.
Support the goal of the Division by offering a seamless experience for the guest in the Rental Shop with the visibility of the Ski and Ride School staff. Instructors will be visible and actively support the Rental Shop flow. They will be trained to be knowledgeable to answer questions, assist with boot fittings and direct the guest to the proper Ski and Ride School meeting location.
Review the Ski and Ride School policies and operating procedures and offer any necessary upgrades and changes to assure safety, accuracy, accountability and security for Granby Ranch, members, guests and employees.
Provide daily leadership to ensure departmental operating standards are being met daily. Meet with instructors and supervisors to gain ideas and recommendations to continually improve the professionalism of the Ski and Ride School.
Gain a high level of understanding of each instructor and their skill sets to perform daily lessons. This would include their preference for adult vs. child operations, PSIA level of certification and area of expertise of ski vs. snowboard.
Coordinate the guest flow between the Ticket Operations, the Children’s Center facility, the Rental Operation and the instructors to ensure a professional experience for the guest. This includes the coordination of adjusting classes and sizes to accommodate guests that arrive late and request a lesson product.
Assist with the budgetary preparation and the support of tracking and controlling expenses.
Assist with the development of marketing strategies to increase Ski and Ride School awareness and grow market share.
The Ski and Ride School Manager will assist with overseeing the daily operation of the Learning Center for Granby Ranch. This position will also assist with adding support and direction for staff members as well as the supervisory team. The Ski and Ride School Manager will work in conjunction with the entire team to ensure excellent success for the Ski and Ride School division in relationship to the following: guest satisfaction, employee growth and communication, Ski and Ride School product sales, product revenue flow, cost and labor management and revenue growth in accordance with budget requirements.

PSIA Level II or 3 years of instructional experience
Skill includes the ability to teach either ski and/or snowboard lessons
Good computer knowledge in Windows and Microsoft Excel
Outstanding organizational skills
Strong communications and sales abilities
Adaptability to constant change
Planning for weekly and monthly visit trends to ensure staffing levels are met daily
Problem solving skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College Degree or equivalent work experience
3 years experience as a ski/snowboard teaching professional
2 years experience in a leadership role
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Ability to perform in exterior winter weather conditions for entire shift
2. Must be able to ski and/or walk to all locations to conduct business
3. Must be able to lift and carry heavy items up to 35 pounds
4. Must be able to stand and/or ski for entire shift
